Arte contemporanea – David Tremlett

The making of a work whether Art or writing, music it doesn’t really matter, in my view deserves ‘a silence’. This can be a studio, the middle of a desert or in this case by the side of a river in the Alps. The silence, bar the sound of water or wind, is the core of this little location in the Val Ferret, a gentle force within the immense drama and power of the mountains and their surroundings.
This was my starting point, after which comes a symmetry, a positioning of forms, a geometry rather like the way the rocks along the banks of the river are assembled. A series of colours from my history of my life on foreign continents. The geometry of architecture and the geometry the rock. I hope a little chalet keeps the result well for the future in this silence!
